Official Name: Chrysocephalum apiculatum
General description: Chrysocephalum apiculatum (formerly Helichrysum apiculatum) is a perennial herb which is found in all States and Territories in Australia in a wide range of environments. With such a broad distribution it is not surprising that this species varies considerably in form, from a sparse erect plant up to 60 cm in height and with narrow leaves to much lower sprawling plants with fleshy leaves 1 cm wide. The great morphological (i.e. form and structure) variation observed in plants included in this taxon suggests that there may well be several species included within the complex.
How to grow: Plant in a full sun position in the garden to maximise flowering, though will tolerate part shade. Tolerates hot conditions with regular watering. Plant in well drained soil. CARE: Mulch and water well during establishment.
Benefits: It's beautiful appearance allows people to have a relaxing feeling and reduces stress.
