How to Make Your Own Terrariums Workshop

A terrarium is a unique type of indoor gardening container that is fully or partially enclosed to allow heat and light to enter while confining moisture. Terrariums can be entirely closed to prevent moisture loss, but often they are left partially open to allow some airflow.

This is a short 2 hrs workshop teaching ou how to grow your own food using hydroponics technique step by step. :

Hydroponics TrainerJunwei Chen is the founder and owner of an existing NanoTech company specialized in Non-Destructive Testing & measurement. He holds a Master degree in Photonics application in Precision agriculture, and has been involving in the enabling of Photonics technology in both Wafer industries and BioTech industries. His experience lies in optics & photonics, various bio-tech inspection & measurement methodology, automation and system design and integration.

In his pass-time, he does various work in soilless cultivation, and restart his interest in precision agriculture & nutrient management since his school days. He setup hydroponics DFT / NFT systems for hobbies, home growers and polytechnics.

Hydroponics TrainerDr. Mandar Godge is heading the Plant Biotechnology R&D capabilities at the Centre for Research and Opportunities in Plant Science (CROPS) in Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. He has been driving the applied and commercial research projects for Urban Integrated Intensive Farming systems. He is a farmer/grower, plant molecular biologist, plant breeder and a practitioner of sustainable agriculture. He has been working in the space of urban agriculture, horticulture, genomics, molecular biology and plant biotechnology for more than 20 years.

As an applied researcher and entrepreneur, he focus on using sustainable technologies for inducing insect pest and disease resistance, biomass increase, increasing resilience of leafy vegetables to climatic changes and enhancing nutritional status of crops with commercial value. He has been instrumental in providing new insights on the dynamic light-responsive regulatory controls and developing technologies for high value functional plants to fit them into urban intensive integrated systems. His work focuses on crops of commercial significance for the Asia Pacific region – tropical green leafy vegetables, fruit vegetables, rice and floriculture industry (orchids). His initiatives also facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations with universities, industries and farmers.
